THE PROBLEM
The power floated floor although executed to a high standard was proving slippery for horses, especially when wet.
SOLUTION
We provided our client with a choice of either a resin flooring solution or alternatively the texturing of the floor using our HTC Grinder fitted with Ravager bush hammer plates.
They selected the latter option as they did not wish to have a resin floor that would require future maintenance.
Using the ravager system we demonstrated to the client different textures that could be achieved by adjusting the weight positions and speed of work.
As seen in the photos the concrete was profiled to a uniform non slip texture. Areas inaccessible to the large machine were textured using vibration damped needle scalers.
Finally having opened the surface of the concrete a penetrating waterproofing agent in the form of Remmers Kiesol was applied to the slab to help prevent liquids penetrating the concrete.
An unusual project for ourselves however our team were chomping at the bit for a fresh challenge !
