THE PROBLEM
The clients production area floor was proofing difficult to clean and the aesthetics required improving.
THE SOLUTION
We proposed the application of a hard wearing high build epoxy coating as the most suitable form of industrial flooring.
Preparing the concrete
The key to a successful industrial flooring installation is correct surface preparation. To remove the contamination and surface contaminants present we prepared the concrete by method of vacuum controlled planetary diamond grinding.
Applying the new floor
Remmers Epoxyflex PH was applied in two heavy coats at a consumption of 0.4Kg/m2 per coat. This slightly flexible epoxy coating offers improved impact resistant over conventional high build epoxy coatings, giving a more durable industrial floor.
The works were complete over a weekend to minimise impact on the clients operations.
