THE PROBLEM
The existing cladding coatings were flaking and were presenting a negative aesthetic for the business.
We proposed the application of a proven cladding refurbishment system in the form of Rustoleum Noxyde.
Initially all flaking coatings were removed by method of high pressure washing to provide a stable surface for the new protective coatings to adhere to.
All areas not to be coated were protected using lightweight protection in order to protect from overspray
As part of our standard quality assurance prior to protective coating application climatic conditions were tested and recorded.
Rustoleum Noxyde was first applied at a practical coverage rate of 0.4Kg/m2. One of the key benefits of this material is that any overspray falls as ‘dry spray’, meaning that the risk of damage to surrounding properties and vehicles is significantly reduced. This is especially useful when conducting external coating works.
Another benefit of Rustoleum Noxyde is the materials highly elastic properties, with over 200% elongation. This means that the material will not flake like conventional paint.
Combining the above properties with outstanding corrosion protection and excellent adhesion to even challenging substrates such as glass make it an excellent cladding painting material.
Following cure of Rustoleum Noxyde a coat of Rustoleum Metal Cladding Top Coat was applied again by method of airless spray.
These cladding painting works transformed the appearance of the business unit, returning it to its former glory.
