THE PROBLEM
The building owner had recently purchased the property and wanted to improve the insulation in the cement sheet clad building.
SOLUTION
We proposed the application of spray foam insulation from BASF as the most cost effective and easy to implement solution.
Initially the walls and roof were vacuumed clean to remove dust and detritus to ensure a good surface to adhere to.
Any services which still required to be inspected/maintained were removed by the client and all surfaces not being coated protected.
The polyurethane foam was then spray applied by heated plural component spray unit to a thickness of 150mm.
Finally all masking was removed and the building returned to its original condition – only better insulated!
