 The original protective coating on the tank internals had failed, resulting in a heavily corroded substrate. The rough, pitted and unhygienic surface this provided would support the growth of aquatic micro organisms such as Legionella, presenting a health risk to users of water stored within the tank.

Rapid Cure Polyurea Bund Lining »
 The fuel storage bunds at RAF Marham no longer conformed to the 2001 control of pollution regulations and required lining to fully seal against the egress of fuel in the case of a spillage. Due to a large amount of cracking and movement in the substrate the lining required had to be flexible as well as resistant to the fuels stored within the tanks.

 The workshop hangar floor had been heavily tamped when installed, with large peaks and troughs. This heavy profile made it difficult for the client to maintain the floor, trapping spilt fuels, oils and hazardous aviation fluids.

 The clients internal valley gutters had been allowing water ingress in to the factory production area below for many years, with previous attempts to resolve the issue proving unsuccessful. Due to the age of the structure the hot dip galvanizing protecting had started to breakdown, with surface corrosion clearly visible.
